We are looking for a part-time Dental Assistant to join our team in our busy, modern, boutique dental practice in Bondi Junction.
The successful candidate will be filling a well-rounded & varied role; performing all aspects of general dental assisting as well as some minor reception duties when needed. You will also be integral to the sterilisation of instruments, infection control & general hygiene of the practice.
In this role you will be responsible for a range of tasks, including:
- Providing chair-side assistance to the dentist throughout procedures. This includes clearing the patient’s mouth of saliva or dental materials using suction or other appropriate equipment.
- Cleaning and sterilising instruments before and after treatment; completing maintenance tasks daily to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the clinic
- Developing and maintaining relationships with patients and staff
- Prepare patients & facilities for dental treatment as directed
- Maintaining the clinic environment to be clean and presentable at all times
Skills and experience:
The successful applicant will bring to the practice the following attributes:
- A minimum of 12 months experience as a dental assistant is preferred. Surgical and cosmetic experience are highly valued, however on the job training is provided.
- A dedicated and collaborative team player
- Excellent professional presentation, highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to be punctual and reliable
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Have a drive to learn and flourish within the role
- Be a self-motivated individual who takes initiative and has an eye for detail
- Have reception experience (highly regarded but not essential)
Award wages apply during the training period, with progression aligned to skills, experience, and demonstrated capability.
The position is full time with Tuesday to Friday availability essential.

We are located in the heart of Bondi Junction and are a 5-minute walk away from the Bondi Junction interchange where buses and trains come in. There is also commuter parking available in the Westfield, and several parking stations nearby.
Because we are a smaller clinic, our staff work closely and we are looking for someone who can join our team and help us to provide the high standard of effort and care that we strive to give our patients every day.
