Florist Manager – Magnolia Flower Merchants
Magnolia Flower Merchants is seeking an experienced and passionate Florist Manager to lead our talented floral team and oversee the daily operations of our busy store.
This is an exciting opportunity for a senior florist or current floral manager who thrives in a creative environment, loves working with premium blooms, and enjoys leading a team that is passionate about delivering beautiful floral experiences for every customer.
About the Role
As our Florist Manager, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the business while maintaining the high floral standards Magnolia Flower Merchants is known for. You’ll lead by example on the tools, creating stunning arrangements, mentoring florists, managing workflow, and helping bring weddings, events, and everyday floral orders to life.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire a team of florists and delivery staff
- Oversee daily flower ordering, stock management, and supplier relationships
- Create and supervise the production of premium floral arrangements and bouquets
- Manage daily workflow to ensure all orders are completed to a high standard and delivered on time
- Coordinate wedding, event, sympathy, and corporate floral work
- Ensure exceptional customer service both in-store, online, and over the phone
- Recruit, train, and mentor florists to develop their skills and creativity
- Manage rostering, staffing, and studio performance
- Maintain visual merchandising and presentation of the studio
- Drive sales growth while protecting quality and profitability
About You
- Qualified florist or extensive experience in a professional florist environment
- Previous leadership or management experience within floristry
- Strong knowledge of flower varieties, seasonality, care, and conditioning
- Creative flair with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work calmly under pressure during peak floral periods and major events
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Passionate about customer service and creating memorable floral experiences
- Current driver’s licence essential
