WA Applicants for Drillers and Experienced offsiders will be fast tracked.
Experienced and Entry Level
Our positions offer an excellent opportunity to escape the city and experience the Australian Outback whilst earning excellent hourly rates including daily metre bonuses (if you have a HR licence).
You will be trained to a high quality and will work closely with our highly experienced Drillers for learning and potential progression towards certificates in drilling modules.
Terra Drilling are seeking Offsiders to join our team.
To be Considered for these positions, you must:
- Hold a valid Heavy Rigid Driver’s license or at minimum be obtaining
- Current First Aid Certificate
- National Police Clearance (within 3 months old)
- Proven experience in physically demanding roles
- Have an understanding of the role and be willing to live in remote exploration environments.
- Work a continuous shift roster of day and nights
- Ability to work in a small team environment
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure with a strong sense of urgency and initiative
- Ability to understand and follow instructions
- Be willing to put in the hard yards to show you are dedicated to progressing within our team.
All candidates must also have the ability to pass pre-employment medicals and drug/alcohol screening.

No experience in the Drilling Industry?
That’s OK. You will be trained by our team to a high quality. You’ll learn the skills you need for your future career.
No Experience Required
We will employ recruits with little to no experience in the industry. With just a few tickets and licenses you can start as an offsider immediately.
All you need to get started are:
- Senior First Aid
- Heavy Rigid Licence
- National Police Clearance
- Be able to pass a drug and alcohol test and pre-employment medical.
On the Job Training
You will work closely with our highly experienced Drillers for learning and potential progression towards certificates in drilling modules.
At Terra Drilling, all team members are constantly learning and improving their skills.
A step up into Drilling
Work as an offsider initially and you will gain the skills to be promoted within the company.

What do I need for this industry?
Terra Drilling are recruiting Offsiders and Drillers throughout the year. We also encourage
Heavy Vehicle Mechanics and Drill Supervisors to apply.
Tickets Required
The following tickets/licences are required as a basis to be eligible for these positions:
- Senior First Aid
- Heavy Rigid Licence
- National Police Clearance
You will also be required to pass a drug & alhcohol test & pre-employment medical, which will be arranged by Terra Drilling after appointment to the role.
How to get your tickets
- Simply Google ‘first aid courses near me’ to find out where you can obtain your Senior First Aid.
- The same process applies for a HR Licence.
- You can apply for a National Police Check online.
- Pricing varies from provider to provider and is to be paid for by the applicant, however you can rest assured that you’ll make your money back in the first swing!
Obtaining the correct tickets/licences can take some time, so start preparing now to be ready for next year!
