Job Overview
Estimated Reading Time: 4 min
HolidayMax is a family‑owned Australian travel company with nearly 30 years of experience turning big, bucket‑list trips into seamless, all‑inclusive holidays. We’ve grown from our roots in Western Australia into a global touring and cruising operation, powered by smart tech and an in-house team creating bold travel marketing for a new era.
Our creative team is newly formed and moving fast. The directors and editors we’ve brought together come from large-scale commercial advertising and long-form television, the kind of backgrounds you’d expect to find at the best agencies and production companies. Now we’re channeling all of that experience into a new kind of creative operation, built around travel content that’s ambitious and a way of working that’s still being shaped.
Which is where you come in.
A Ground Floor Opportunity, With A High Ceiling
As one of our early hires, you won’t just be filling a seat, you’ll be helping define what this team looks, feels, and sounds like. The workflows, the culture, the creative standards, these are being shaped right now and the people who join early get to have a real say in how they take shape.
You’ll be learning from editors and directors with serious pedigree, while also having the kind of creative influence that rarely comes with a junior or mid-weight title at an established agency.
The Work
We shoot around the world. Our content spans cinematic tour films and documentary-style pieces through to branded campaigns, social content and AI-led creative work that’s pushing into new territory.
Because this is a small creative team, the role is broader than most. You’ll get exposure to a wider range of projects, formats and creative conversations than you’d typically see at this level. If you’re someone who wants to grow quickly and take on more responsibility as the team scales, this is that role.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Editing across a wide range of formats, tour films, testimonials, social content, branded pieces, documentary-style work and AI-led creative campaigns
- Cutting, versioning and adapting content across multiple aspect ratios and platforms
- Making updates, refinements and polish passes to existing edits
- Collaborating closely with directors and editors
- Bringing polish, pacing and real creative instinct to every cut
- Helping contribute to workflows, processes and team culture
- Working primarily in Adobe Premiere Pro, with scope to bring other tools to the table
What We’re Looking For
- A junior to mid-weight editor with solid Premiere Pro experience and strong storytelling instincts
- A real feel for pacing, performance and tone. You notice the things most people miss
- Someone who takes direction well and also brings their own creative thinking to the brief
- Highly organised, proactive, and built for remote working
- Based in Australia with availability across East Coast time zone hours
A few things that’ll help
- Experience working across branded, social or travel content
- Confidence handling versioning, reworks and multiple deliverables without losing your mind
- Curiosity around AI tools and new creative workflows
- A real love of making good work with good people
The Setup
- Full-time
- Fully remote / work from home
- Australia only
- Flexible hours with East Coast time zone overlap
- Room to grow as the team grows
This team is being built right now. Be part of what it becomes.
Send us your CV, showreel or portfolio, and a short note on why you’re the right fit.
